"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything."
Aaron Siskind quotes
This is a photograph of my mother and I, at the National War Memorial sometime in the late 60s - judging by the growth of the tulips and spring coats - mid April. I love this picture. It reminds me that my mother and father were both into photography and home videos which kind of explains I guess where I got the bug from. My father used to take photographs during the WWII on the Navy ship and somehow managed to process them in the bathtub. Anyway, we have tons of super 8 film of us (my two sisters and I) growing up and I'm excited because I have found a supplier in Ottawa who can convert super 8 mm to DVD! Oh my the possibilities are endless - old home movies edited on my Apple, with music.
