Paris. First Impressions.

With approximately an hour's catnap on the way over, we hit the ground running.  We spent the first day exploring our neighbourhood: the fifth district.  Lunch was on the go with a quiche wrapped in foil and when I asked for a coffee I received an expresso.  I learned that I should have asked for a cafe creme.   Dinner consisted of cheese, bread and wine on a terrace while listening to a guitar player.

Despite what the media has been saying lately about the privacy concerns of the French citizens I felt rather uninhibited in pointing my camera at people to take their photographs.    Pierre, a waiter was more than accommodating when Valerie and I asked for a photograph.    Here are some favourite pictures.    Enjoy :)
