A Winters Night

from 129.00

A very still and quiet evening on a just frozen Houseboat Bay on Great Slave Lake, in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. New to town and anxious to witness the Northern Lights I ventured out to Old Town one evening in mid November. The ice had just frozen over with the frigid -30C temperatures and I saw a truck parked so I deemed it safe enough for me to venture out. Other than a fox who crossed my path, there was no one. I was struck by the beauty of the hoar frost glistening in the trees and the peacefulness that is hard to describe.
