On Sunday, September 30th approximately 1500 hearty adventurous types from Ottawa, in the spirit of a flash mob, arrived at Festival Plaza with their picnic baskets and black umbrella's for the city's 2nd annual Harvest Noir picnic. The fact that it was pouring rain just seemed to add to the ambience and adventure. It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if we had a roof over our head. Guests were even treated to a live jazz band.
It was dubbed as an elegant picnic in the park to celebrate the harvest and sustainable living and farming practices.
