I have been thinking a lot lately about what the good life is as a photographer and why take so many photographs? I am coming to realize how much I cherish the ability to slow down and appreciate the gifts that I have.
I am keenly aware of the impermanence of everything. Family and friends come and go through death, divorce, misunderstandings or simply relocations. Photography is my attempt to honour and preserve the good times.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to visit the Arboretum at the Experimental Farms. Saydee loves to go there because it is rife with squirrels.
