It was April 27th, 2022 and it was snowing. Not a dusting — a proper snowstorm, arriving weeks after it had any right to. We had just moved to Cantley, Quebec and I went out immediately with my camera.
The forest hadn't finished being autumn. The leaves were still on the ground, rust and amber, while snow settled on the branches above. The pond was still open water, perfectly still, reflecting everything. I stood at the edge of it simply awestruck.
April Snow II was made the same morning, a few steps along the same bank.
